Rebecca Morris is an abstract landscape artist, living and working in Cheltenham. She uses acrylics to paint quickly and intuitively, capturing the changing landscapes around her Cotswold home on large canvases. Rebecca builds up thin layers of fluid acrylics using oversized brushes, pulling the paint to and fro across the canvas in bold strokes to create washes and stains, before enhancing areas of colour with oil bars. In her ‘little white house’ series, Rebecca introduces naive clusters of cottages on her hillsides to offer the viewer a sense of place. Her large-scale atmospheric pieces are garnering a following of interior designers and art lovers alike.
Rebecca exhibits from her own studio and often works to commission.
