Your Sat Nav may take you to a pair of cottages up the road, you can see the large Manor House from them

From the A40

About two miles from the Northleach / Stow roundabout, look out for the third small turning on your left (if travelling towards Cheltenham). It will be signposted Withington and Compton Abdale. 

Travel down the hill into Compton Abdale reaching a cross roads at the bottom. You will see a stone crocodile head and a little stream.
Go across the junction and travel up the hill.

Go over the hill and down the other side. At the bottom in the Valley you will see the Manor House on your right.

Go around the green to your right and enter through the drive at the rear of the house.

From the M5

Leave at Junction 11a (one of the 3 Cheltenham junctions).

Turn right onto the A417 and travel up the hill to a roundabout (The Air Balloon pub will be on your right).

Take the first exit (going straight across) travel approx. 3 miles. You will pass The Hungry Horse Pub on your right.

Once you arrive at the roundabout turn left and at the next roundabout (almost immediately) turn right (3rd exit).
Travel along this road for about 3 miles past The Kilkenny Inn on your left. About ½ a mile after the pub there is a turning on your right signposted Withington – take this.

Travel along the long Roman road, down past the churchyard and into the village, passing The Withington Mill Inn on your left. Carry on about ½ a mile and take the turning on your right into Kings Head Lane (this is not the first turning after the pub but the second).

Go up and over the hill, as you come down the other side you can see the Manor, Gallery and Cottage at the bottom of the valley.

From the M4

Leave at Junction 15 (Swindon). Travel along the A419 towards Gloucester and Cheltenham.

Turn off at the Cirencester junction (not the first one, Cirencester Industrial estate, the next one).

Turn right going back over the road and towards the services. 

At the roundabout go straight across.

At the traffic lights immediately after the roundabout turn slightly left onto the A429 signposted Stow on the Wold.
Travel up this road for approx. 6 miles.

Pass the Hare and Hounds pub on your left and shortly after turn left onto a small road signposted Withington and Chedworth.

Travel along this road for about 3 miles and you will eventually reach a cross roads. 

Turn hard right, signposted Chedworth Roman Villa and proceed down a long hill.

On reaching the bottom of the hill, look left and the Manor House, Gallery and Cottage are a few hundred yards away.

Parking

Please enter the property via the drive at the rear.

If you are visiting the cottage, please park to the right of the garage, by the wall surrounding the cottage garden.

If you are parking for the gallery, you will be guided in or it will be clearly posted.
